                                Newness In Christ

                               2nd Corinthians 5:17 KJV

Therefore if any man be in Christ,  he is a new creature: old things are passed away, behold all things are become new.

We have been Blessed to see the end of 2023 with all of its problems, challenges, failures and unresolved issues and the newness of 2024.

We realize 2024 will have to be tested to determine its success (as 2023 was) but spiritually, 2023 was a great year for those  who accepte Jesus as Lord and Savior because there was a newness in each and every one of them. The newness relates to that which is quite different from what one is accustomed to or unused. Not new in time but new as to quality in one's character.

Example...Remember how we were before accepting Christ in out lives? We were alive "yes"...and full of self pride..ummmm "ooook - yes". We were all about us and what we could do but were were lost. We were living the life the world showed us as being what we had to have but spiritually we were empty.

We just celebrated the greatest birth ever in Jesus Christ to fulfill his reason for coming to us. John 3:17 KJV...For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved. Mark 1:17 KJV He begins His work. "And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men".

The Apostle Paul wrote in 2nd Corinthians 5:17 KJV...Therefore if any man (woman boy or girl) be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

We had to first become "new creatures"...our language had to change, our mindset had to change, we had to be born again in the newness of Christ. For those who have done so, their newness can become what someone they will meet needs to hear... the great news of the life saving, life changing and new found power of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ living in us.

Thank You Lord for Your Word.
